You will be the driving force behind the client’s organic search strategy—improving website search rankings, driving organic traffic, and boosting overall online visibility. Working closely with the marketing team during UK business hours, you will optimize product pages, categories, descriptions, and core website content while pioneering strategies for Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) to capture traffic across AI-powered platforms like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. If you have deep technical SEO expertise, a strong grasp of keyword research, and a knack for competitor analysis within the security sector, you will play a critical role in scaling the brand's digital reach.

Client Overview:

Our client is an established UK-based business scaling its brand presence across digital and search channels. The company is actively expanding its digital footprint within the CCTV and security industry to maximize online visibility, organic traffic, and lead generation. With a clear focus on modern search engine optimization and emerging generative AI search landscapes, the team is looking for a strategic SEO and GEO Specialist to elevate their search performance.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, flexible schedule during the client’s business hours (UK Time, between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm, 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day)

Responsibilities:

• Improve the website's search rankings, organic traffic, and overall online visibility across major search engines.
• Execute technical SEO audits, comprehensive keyword research, and broad website optimization initiatives.
• Implement Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategies to improve brand visibility and citations across AI-powered search platforms such as ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews.
• Optimize product pages, category listings, descriptions, and overall website content for maximum search impact.
• Conduct thorough competitor research to identify market gaps and opportunities within the CCTV and security industry.
• Monitor SEO/GEO performance metrics, track keyword movements, and proactively recommend data-driven strategies for continuous improvement.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Proven experience with technical SEO, keyword research, and end-to-end website optimization.
• Practical understanding and emerging knowledge of GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) for AI-powered search engines and answer engines.
• Solid background optimizing product-heavy e-commerce or business websites (experience within hardware, tech, CCTV, or security sectors is a strong plus).
• Strong analytical skills to monitor performance, interpret analytics data, and formulate actionable growth strategies.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work flexible hours during UK business hours (BST/GMT).

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

• Experience tracking and optimizing for Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT search, and other generative models.
• Content writing or copywriting background tailored for technical search intent and user conversion.
• Previous experience working remotely with UK-based clients or international e-commerce/B2B/B2C brands.
