Video Editor & Graphic Designer (Adobe Creative Suite)

Overview
Our client is looking for a talented and highly adaptable Hybrid Video Editor & Graphic Designer to support their growing creative team. In this dynamic, hands-on production role, you will split your time between commercial/social video editing and professional graphic design across a wide variety of brands. They need a proactive creative problem-solver who can take direction, troubleshoot independently, and produce polished work. 

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Approximately 4 hours per day (Initial 20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

Video Editing Responsibilities Projects may include:

  • 15-, 30-, and 60-second commercials
  • CTV/OTT advertisements
  • Social media videos, Reels, Shorts, and other vertical content
  • Interviews and testimonials
  • Corporate and brand videos
  • Podcast and long-form content
  • YouTube content
  • Promotional and educational videos
  • Short-form advertising
  • Motion graphics and animated text
  • Captions and subtitles
  • Audio cleanup and basic sound design
  • Color correction and basic color grading
  • Editing footage from professional video productions
  • Resizing and adapting existing content for multiple platforms
  • Adobe Premiere Pro proficiency is essential.
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects is strongly preferred, particularly for motion graphics, animated text, logo animation, compositing, masking, tracking, and similar production needs.

Graphic Design Responsibilities
Projects may include:

  • Social media graphics
  • Digital advertisements
  • Print advertisements
  • Flyers and rack cards
  • Brochures
  • Posters
  • Signage
  • Direct-mail pieces
  • Presentation graphics
  • Marketing collateral
  • Brand identity materials
  • Logo and brand development
  • Campaign creative
  • Web graphics and digital assets
  • Resizing and adapting existing creative
  • Preparing production-ready files for print and digital use

Requirements

Required Creative Software Candidates should demonstrate strong proficiency with:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe InDesign

Experience with the following is also highly valued:

  • Adobe After Effects
  • Canva
  • CapCut
  • VEED.IO

Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn the following workflow platforms is expected:

  • Asana
  • Frame.io
  • Google Drive
  • Google Workspace

AI & Continued Learning Experience with or interest in tools such as the following is encouraged:

  • ChatGPT
  • Runway
  • Magnific
  • Generative AI features within Adobe products
  • Other emerging AI video, image, design, and production tools

Non-Negotiables

  • Strong Portfolio & Creative Fundamentals: Candidates must provide a portfolio demonstrating real-world creative ability (commercial/social video editing, graphic design, print, advertising, branding).
  • Proactive Problem-Solver: Willingness to troubleshoot, research, and propose alternatives independently.
  • Strong English Communication: Professional written and verbal communication skills for direct collaboration via Google Meet and Asana.
  • Receptive to Feedback: Open to constructive criticism, patient during revisions, ego-free, and adaptable.
  • Adaptable: Comfortable switching between diverse clients, industries, creative styles, and shifting priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous self-review of grammar, branding, alignment, video timing, audio quality, and export specifications.
  • Organization: Disciplined adherence to file structures, naming conventions, asset management, and task systems in Google Drive, Frame.io, and Asana.
  • Reliability: Dependable, responsive, and capable of managing assigned workloads without constant supervision.

Preferred Experience

  • Agency experience working with multiple clients, brands, and deadlines simultaneously is strongly preferred.
  • Experience creating work for U.S.-based brands or marketing agencies is beneficial.

Education

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia, Film/Video Production, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred (demonstrated creative ability and portfolio quality will carry greater weight).
