Overview
Our client is looking for a technical and detail-oriented Digitization Specialist to support their virtual production team by converting complex vector artwork into high-quality, production-ready embroidery files. In this role, you will bridge digital design and industrial manufacturing by transforming Adobe Illustrator files (.AI) into Wilcom (.EMB) and Tajima (.DST) formats for military logos, patches, and insignia. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless stitch quality, accurate thread settings, and efficient production workflows. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional seeking a stable, long-term remote role with a premier U.S. e-commerce brand.
Schedule
Full-time | Shift aligned with U.S. Business Hours (Standard CST)
Responsibilities
- Embroidery Digitizing & Conversion: Convert vector graphic files (.AI) into high-precision industrial embroidery machine formats (.EMB and .DST) while ensuring optimal stitch types, densities, pull compensation, and color stops.
- Artwork Preparation & Vector Cleanup: Review and edit client vector files in Adobe Illustrator to optimize them for embroidery digitization, adjusting paths, line weights, and node counts as needed.
- File Management & Quality Control: Conduct pre-production file audits to verify that stitch paths, underlay settings, and thread angles meet strict quality standards to minimize machine thread breaks and production errors.
- Production File Delivery: Manage and upload digitized embroidery files to the internal asset library, making them readily accessible for production and manufacturing workflows.
- Technical Collaboration: Coordinate closely with graphic design, customer service, and production teams to resolve artwork formatting issues, answer technical embroidery inquiries, and deliver rapid turnaround on priority custom orders.
Requirements
- Graphic Design Proficiency: Advanced, hands-on knowledge of Adobe Illustrator (.AI file editing, vector manipulation, path creation, and typographic adjustments).
- Embroidery Digitizing Mastery: Proven experience and technical skill in converting vector files into .EMB and .DST file types using industry-standard digitizing software (e.g., Wilcom Embroidery Studio, Hatch, or similar).
- Embroidery Mechanics Knowledge: Understanding of stitch types (satin, fill, running stitches), push/pull compensation, underlays, and density settings for various fabric types.
- Fast Learner: Ability to quickly absorb brand-specific guidelines, specialized software tools, and production workflows with minimal supervision.
- Software Aptitude: Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate relevant digital software, design applications, web portals, and communication platforms smoothly.
- U.S. Shift Readiness: Experienced and fully comfortable working full-time aligned with standard U.S. business hours (Central/Eastern Time Zone).
- Work Ethic & Focus: Dedicated, hardworking, and highly focused, with a proven track record of maintaining high accuracy and output quality in a work-from-home setup.
- Integrity & Trustworthiness: High degree of professional integrity and confidentiality when handling proprietary client designs and operational processes.
- Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional remote teams.
- Long-Term Commitment: Looking for a stable, long-term career opportunity with a growing U.S.-based e-commerce organization.
