Graphic Designer

Core design skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent (Figma, Canva Pro)
  • Strong typography, color theory, and layout fundamentals
  • Ability to work within and maintain brand guidelines across many pieces of content
  • Comfortable adapting a single asset into multiple sizes/formats (social posts, banners, print, etc.)

AI tool fluency

  • Experience using Claude (or similar AI tools) to speed up ideation, copywriting support, content repurposing, and production workflows
  • Comfortable using AI for first drafts of captions, slide copy, or content variations that are then refined by hand
  • General comfort adopting new AI tools as they get added to the workflow, not just Claude specifically

Production experience

  • Social media content creation, especially LinkedIn (carousels, static posts, banner graphics, video thumbnails)
  • PowerPoint/Google Slides deck design (client presentations, pitch decks, internal reports) with attention to consistency, hierarchy, and polish
  • Experience turning raw content (a client's bullet points, a rough script, a data set) into a finished, on-brand visual product
  • Comfort working under deadline pressure with a high volume of small-to-medium requests, rather than one long project at a time

Technical/workflow skills

  • File management and naming conventions (so work is easy to hand off or revisit)
  • Understanding of file formats and export settings for different platforms (web, print, social, presentations)
  • Comfortable using project management/asset request tools (Monday.com is what we use)

Soft skills

  • Fluent in English, written and verbal, for interpreting briefs and collaborating with the team
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with brand consistency across multiple clients
  • Ability to take feedback quickly and iterate without excessive back and forth
  • Some client-facing communication skill if they ever join calls or present decks directly
  • Resourcefulness. Ability to take direction and work independently.

Nice to have

  • Basic motion graphics or video editing (After Effects, Premiere, CapCut)
  • Experience with pitch deck or sales deck design specifically
  • Illustration skills for custom graphics beyond template-based work
  • Familiarity with Canva as a secondary/backup tool for quick turnarounds
  • Experience in highly-regulated industries (I.e. healthcare, Fintech, medical device manufacturing)
