Overview

We are seeking a passionate, highly meticulous, and fast-paced Photo Editor & Retoucher to take ownership of our visual content pipeline. This role is designed for a creative professional who possesses an exceptional eye for detail, composition, and lighting, combined with the technical speed required to manage high-volume assets without sacrificing quality.

Beyond traditional mastery of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, the ideal candidate actively leverages modern AI-assisted editing tools to accelerate their workflow. We are looking for an independent, self-driven individual who thrives on daily productivity, maintains unwavering consistency across diverse photography genres (portrait, product, event, landscape), and retains creative direction effortlessly.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week (Full-Time) | Flexible hours between 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Calgary, AB Time

Responsibilities

1. High-End Photo Editing & Retouching (50%)

• Execute precise color correction, exposure adjustments, advanced retouching, object removal, and compositing to transform raw files into polished, client-ready photographs.
• Ensure absolute visual consistency in style, tone, and quality standards across all editing batches.
• Adapt techniques seamlessly across multiple genres, matching specific client requirements and project briefs perfectly.

2. Workflow Optimization & AI Integration (20%)

• Implement built-in and third-party AI features within Photoshop and Lightroom (e.g., Generative Fill, AI masking, smart culling) to maximize editing output and decrease project turnaround times.
• (Bonus) Assist with basic video editing, trimming, and color grading for short-form social content as needed.

3. Production, Speed, & Asset Management (30%)

• Daily Output Tracking: Maintain a high, steady volume of completed tasks daily, ensuring all projects remain strictly on schedule.
• Meticulous Execution: Absorb design feedback and technical SOPs quickly, applying changes across future batches without requiring repeated instructions.
• Proactive Communication: Provide transparent daily progress updates on project queues, flags delays early, and collaborates cleanly via communication channels.

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of professional photo editing and retouching experience with a diverse, high-caliber portfolio (applications without a portfolio will not be considered).
• Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.
• Technical Agility: Active experience utilizing AI-driven tools to speed up traditional editing workflows.
• Hardware Requirements: High-speed workstation capable of rendering high-resolution files instantly, backed by a stable, high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps).
• Execution Style: Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of maintaining high daily output and meeting strict deadlines independently.
