Job Overview

Our Client is looking for a Social Media Marketing Specialist who will own the complete social media and email marketing strategy for a thriving wellness business. This role combines creative content development with strategic marketing execution, giving you the freedom to build brand awareness and community engagement from the ground up. You’ll work directly with the business owner to transform their marketing approach from inconsistent to professional and impactful. This is perfect for a marketing specialist who wants to make a real difference in a growing wellness business.

Schedule: Remote, Part Time | Monday to Friday - Flexible in EST, Alexandria, VA, 10 hours per week.

(Note: Work is managed on a priority/sprint basis where weekly hours focus on designated priorities rather than all tasks at once. Hours may also expand as projects scale.)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and create engaging content for Instagram with expansion to TikTok and Facebook
• Organize and schedule email and SMS marketing campaigns to maintain client engagement
• Create and manage monthly newsletters, transitioning from guided to independent execution
• Develop new marketing materials including brochures and monthly printed materials for the lounge
• Handle consistent posting and scheduling across all social media platforms
• Build community engagement through strategic social media interactions and outreach
• Develop content strategies that showcase the team, daily operations, and wellness services
• Maintain brand consistency and credibility across all marketing channels
• Think strategically about audience engagement and content performance optimization
• Provide ad hoc support for basic website maintenance and CRM integrations as needed for upcoming business projects

Requirements:

• You bring proven experience in social media marketing for US-based clients, with a focus on strategy rather than just execution (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
• You understand platform algorithms and can create content that drives engagement and builds community.
• Experience with email marketing and SMS campaigns is essential, along with the ability to work independently and take ownership of marketing initiatives.
• Familiarity with basic website management and connecting CRM/business tools is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, proactive communication, and ability to follow design briefs, templates, and revision feedback accurately
• Bonus if you have experience in the wellness or healthcare industry, knowledge of content creation tools, or experience managing multiple social media platforms simultaneously.
