Creative Strategist
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Creative Strategist to develop, manage, and optimize marketing campaigns across paid social, conversion funnels, and email marketing. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience running Meta Ads, building and managing marketing funnels, and developing email marketing strategies.
This role is best suited for someone who combines creative thinking with performance marketing expertise and can use campaign data to identify opportunities, test new ideas, and improve overall conversion and customer acquisition.
Schedule: Mon to Friday 9am to 5pm EST 35 hours a week with 1 hour unpaid break.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Social & Meta Ads
- Develop, launch, and manage Meta advertising campaigns across Facebook and Instagram.
- Create and test different creative concepts, ad angles, messaging, hooks, and offers.
- Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven adjustments to improve key metrics.
- Analyze audience performance, creative performance, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.
- Identify opportunities to scale successful campaigns while maintaining efficient performance.
- Conduct ongoing A/B testing of creatives, audiences, messaging, and campaign structures.
- Stay current with Meta Ads best practices, platform updates, and emerging creative trends.
Creative Strategy
- Develop creative strategies aligned with campaign objectives, target audiences, and business goals.
- Translate customer insights and market trends into compelling advertising concepts.
- Develop creative briefs for designers, video editors, copywriters, and other creative resources.
- Identify effective hooks, messaging angles, formats, and calls to action.
- Review campaign creative and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Continuously test and develop new creative concepts based on performance data.
Funnel Strategy & Management
- Build, manage, and optimize marketing funnels from initial ad engagement through conversion.
- Map customer journeys and identify opportunities to improve conversion at each stage.
- Collaborate on landing pages, lead-generation flows, offers, and conversion points.
- Monitor funnel performance and identify bottlenecks or areas of drop-off.
- Recommend changes to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and overall funnel performance.
Email Marketing
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to support lead nurturing, conversions, and customer retention.
- Create or coordinate email sequences, promotional campaigns, follow-ups, and automated workflows.
- Develop compelling email messaging, subject lines, offers, and calls to action.
- Monitor email performance, including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and engagement.
- Test and optimize email content, timing, segmentation, and messaging.
Analytics & Optimization
- Track campaign and funnel KPIs and use performance data to guide strategy.
- Prepare performance insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement.
- Identify underperforming campaigns, creatives, audiences, and funnel stages.
- Make recommendations based on both quantitative performance data and qualitative customer insights.
- Maintain a structured testing and optimization process.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in creative strategy, performance marketing, digital marketing, or a related role.
- Proven experience running and managing Meta Ads campaigns.
- Strong understanding of Facebook Ads Manager, campaign structures, targeting, creative testing, and optimization.
- Demonstrated experience building and managing marketing funnels.
- Hands-on experience with email marketing campaigns and automated sequences.
- Strong understanding of conversion optimization and customer journeys.
- Ability to develop creative concepts based on audience insights and campaign performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable interpreting marketing performance data and turning insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience working with designers, copywriters, video editors, or other creative professionals.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple campaigns and priorities independently.
Preferred:
- Experience marketing products or services within the gaming industry.
- Strong personal interest in gaming or demonstrated familiarity with gaming communities, audiences, and culture.
- Experience creating campaigns targeted toward gamers or gaming-related audiences.
- Experience with direct-response marketing, e-commerce, lead generation, or subscription-based businesses.
- Experience with landing page builders, CRM platforms, email marketing platforms, and analytics tools.
- Experience developing UGC, short-form video, or performance-driven ad creative.
- Strong understanding of current social media and creative trends.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a creative but highly data-driven marketer who understands that successful creative strategy requires both compelling ideas and measurable results. They should be comfortable getting hands-on with campaigns, testing ideas, analyzing performance, and continuously improving the customer journey from ad impression through conversion.
Note: I would recommend keeping “female preferred” out of the formal job qualifications unless there is a legitimate, job-related reason for a gender-specific requirement. You can instead focus the posting on the required experience and the preferred gaming interest/background.
