Job Overview
Our client is seeking a creative, organized, and self-directed Social Media & Online Presence Coordinator to take ownership of content production, publishing, and day-to-day maintenance of a cleaning service business’s online presence.
This is an execution-focused role—not a marketing strategy or rebranding position. The brand identity, visual direction, mood board, content categories, and overall marketing strategy are already established. The client will provide brand assets, examples, raw photography and video, service information, and creative direction. Your role is to turn those resources into polished, consistent content and keep our online channels current without requiring step-by-step supervision.
Schedule Remote, Part Time | Monday to Friday from 8am - 12pm CST.
Responsibilities
Social Media Production & Publishing:
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Nextdoor.
- Manage the content calendar and prepare content ahead of schedule rather than reactively each day.
- Review supplied photos and videos, select the strongest assets, and turn them into finished social media content.
- Edit short-form videos and Reels using simple, attractive editing appropriate to the brand rather than elaborate production.
- Adapt content formats, dimensions, captions, and presentation for each platform.
- Write captions, calls-to-action, and supporting copy in the established company voice.
- Create occasional simple graphics using existing brand assets and visual guidelines.
- Schedule and publish approved content accurately and on time.
- Organize the content library and track assets that have been published or repurposed.
Website & Local Online Presence:
- Maintain local business listings, ensuring business information and imagery remain current and consistent.
- Provide basic Wix website support, including photo and copy updates, rearranging existing content, and other simple edits.
- Work through lower-priority website updates and ongoing online-presence projects as time allows.
- Periodically review social profiles, website pages, and listings for outdated information, inconsistencies, broken links, and other maintenance needs.
Brand Quality & Workflow Ownership:
- Study the mood board, existing content, brand guidelines, and feedback to develop a strong understanding of the established visual style.
- Maintain high standards for typography, image selection, composition, spacing, formatting, and overall cohesiveness.
- Check content quality before submitting it for approval, minimizing the need for basic corrections or repeated art direction.
- Retain and consistently apply feedback to future work.
- Independently manage priorities by reviewing the upcoming calendar, available assets, publishing needs, and maintenance backlog.
- Communicate progress, flag missing materials or blockers early, and keep production moving without requiring a new list of individual assignments each week.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience producing and publishing social media content, including short-form videos and captions.
- A strong visual eye and attention to detail, with the ability to work within an established brand rather than introduce a new direction.
- Proficiency with Canva or similar design software and a short-form video editing tool.
- Strong written English and the ability to match an existing brand voice.
- Excellent organization, time management, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage a content calendar, organize creative assets, and prepare work in advance.
- Ability to work independently, incorporate feedback, and avoid repeating previously addressed errors.
- Availability for an ongoing commitment of approximately 20 hours per week.
- Experience managing content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Nextdoor.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling and publishing tools.
- Basic Wix editing experience.
- Experience maintaining local business listings.
- Experience supporting a cleaning, home-service, or other local service business.
Independent Contractor Perks
- Permanent work from home
- Immediate hiring
