Social Media & Content Specialist

Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and proactive Social Media & Content Specialist to support our social media presence, audience engagement, and lead generation efforts.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing LinkedIn, content creation, email campaigns, and audience engagement, with the ability to turn content and social interactions into meaningful leads and business opportunities. Experience supporting a podcast is also highly preferred.

Schedule

This is a part-time role at 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule, but the candidate must be available for some working-hour overlap with the Pacific Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company’s LinkedIn presence, including content publishing and engagement.
  • Develop and organize social media content aligned with the company’s brand and goals.
  • Create engaging posts, captions, and other content to increase visibility and audience engagement.
  • Monitor social media activity, respond to comments and messages, and engage with relevant audiences.
  • Support lead generation through social media and email campaigns.
  • Create, manage, and optimize email campaigns for prospects and existing contacts.
  • Identify potential leads and support outreach and follow-up activities.
  • Help grow the company’s online presence and professional network.
  • Support the promotion and management of the company’s podcast, including content distribution and audience engagement.
  • Repurpose podcast content into social media posts, short-form content, email campaigns, and other promotional materials.
  • Track basic social media and campaign performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, LinkedIn best practices, and content marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Hands-on experience managing LinkedIn for business or professional audiences.
  • Experience with lead generation and email marketing campaigns.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and professional content.
  • Experience with podcast promotion or content management is a strong plus.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision and managing a limited number of weekly hours effectively.
  • Must be available for some Pacific Time overlap.
