BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ADMISSIONS SPECIALIST
Full-time, 40 hours per week
We are seeking compassionate, confident, highly motivated
Admissions Specialists to join our growing admissions team.
This is not a traditional customer service or call center position.
Our Admissions Specialists are often the first person a prospective patient or family member speaks with when seeking addiction or mental health treatment.
Many of our calls originate from individuals and families actively searching online for treatment through Google and other digital marketing channels. These are often high-intent inquiries from people who need
help now.
Every conversation requires empathy, professionalism, confidence, urgency, emotional intelligence, and the ability to guide someone through one of the most important decisions of their life.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Admissions Specialist, you will:
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective patients and families seeking addiction or mental health treatment.
- Handle high-intent inbound calls with professionalism, empathy, confidence, and urgency.
- Build trust and rapport quickly over the phone.
- Conduct admissions assessments and gather demographic, clinical, and insurance information.
- Educate prospective patients and families about treatment options and appropriate levels of care.
- Help prospective patients navigate barriers and confidently move forward with treatment when appropriate.
- Coordinate with admissions, insurance verification, and clinical teams to facilitate timely admissions.
- Follow up consistently with prospective patients, families, and referral sources.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation within CRM, EMR, and call-management systems.
- Manage multiple active admissions opportunities while remaining organized and responsive.
- Consistently meet expectations related to responsiveness, documentation, follow-up, conversion, reliability, and patient experience.
This role combines compassionate healthcare communication with consultative admissions and sales skills. Successful candidates must be comfortable helping people make decisions and take action while maintaining the highest level of empathy, ethics, and professionalism.
COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS
Exceptional spoken English is an absolute requirement for this position (Native or C2 Level Proficiency) Candidates must be able to communicate naturally and confidently with native English-speaking patients and families throughout the United States.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
We are particularly interested in candidates with
professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
Addiction treatment.
Behavioral health.
Mental health services.
Healthcare admissions.
Treatment admissions or intake.
Patient access.
Healthcare insurance verification.
Healthcare call centers.
High-intent inbound sales.
Consultative sales involving sensitive or complex decisions.
Candidates should also possess:
Excellent organization and time-management skills.
Strong follow-up habits.
Excellent attention to detail.
Professional judgment during emotionally sensitive conversations.
Emotional resilience.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong computer proficiency.
Ability to learn new technology quickly.
Comfort working within a structured, performance-driven environment.
Coachability and a desire to continually improve.
Strong personal accountability.
A genuine desire to help individuals and families access quality care.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
Behavioral health or addiction treatment admissions.
Detox, Residential, PHP, IOP, and Outpatient treatment environments.
Healthcare intake or patient access.
Commercial health insurance.
Insurance verification.
High-intent inbound calls.
CRM platforms, with Salesforce experience preferred.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Call-management or call-tracking platforms.
Consultative sales.
***Previous U.S. healthcare experience is highly desirable but
not necessarily required for an exceptional candidate.
