Business Development Intelligence & Enablement Analyst

What this role is You are the research and data engine behind a relationship-led business development function. You find the right people, build the intelligence that opens doors, and keep the CRM so clean that partners never waste a minute on bad data.
What you’ll do
  • Research target accounts and senior decision-makers across professional services — accounting, insolvency, insurance, legal, private credit, forensic and regulatory-advisory sectors.
  • Map the path in: identify referrers, influencers, warm routes and trigger events (appointments, restructurings, regulatory action, partner moves, transactions).
  • Build and maintain target lists that are accurate, complete and ready for outreach.
  • Write concise intelligence briefs and pre-meeting packs for senior partners — background, context, opportunities and recommended talking points.
  • Draft personalised outreach — meeting requests, introductions, follow-ups and thank-you notes — in a natural professional tone.
  • Own the CRM data in HubSpot: imports, cleansing, deduplication, enrichment, segmentation and exception reporting.
  • Track campaigns and coverage: meetings secured, responses, opportunities emerging.
  • Use AI tools daily (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to accelerate research, drafting and analysis — with critical judgment and zero confidential data in unapproved tools.
What a good day looks like
  • Morning scan for trigger events and role changes.
  • Deep research on target accounts and meeting briefs.
  • CRM hygiene: updates, lists, enrichment, quality checks.
  • Campaign support: segmentation, outreach drafting, event lists.
  • End-of-day handover: actions logged, tomorrow set.
What you need
  • 3–6 years in business development operations, market intelligence, sales enablement, CRM operations, executive research or professional-services BD.
  • HubSpot CRM — confident day-to-day use. You know contacts, companies, lists, properties, imports, segmentation and basic reporting.
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator — advanced search, saved leads, relationship mapping, role-change monitoring.
  • Excel — data cleaning, lookups, pivots, filtering, reconciliation with large datasets.
  • Microsoft 365 — Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • AI fluency — you already use ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini for research, drafting and workflow acceleration. You verify outputs and respect confidentiality.
  • Exceptional written English — natural Australian or UK professional-business tone. Concise, warm, adaptable. No typos, no fluff.
  • Clear spoken English — confident working with senior Australian professionals.
Nice to have
  • Experience in legal, accounting, Big Four, financial services, insurance, private markets, executive search or insolvency/restructuring.
  • Familiarity with Apollo, ZoomInfo, Cognism, Lusha or Firmable.
  • Power Query, Power Pivot, Zapier, Make or Power Automate.
  • Experience supporting Australian, UK or US professional-services teams remotely.
Who you are
  • Commercially sharp — you spot real opportunities, not superficial matches.
  • Rigorous — you cross-check sources, not copy-paste from one database.
  • Concise — you turn 10 pages of research into a half-page brief with a clear recommendation.
  • Fast and accurate — you support live BD activity without cutting corners.
  • Organised — you manage multiple lists, briefs and follow-ups without dropping anything.
  • Discrete — you handle partner, client and prospect information with absolute care.
The setup
  • Hours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm AEST, Monday to Friday.
  • Location: Fully remote.
  • Equipment: Reliable high-speed internet with tested backup, quiet workspace, headset, webcam.
What we offer
  • A defined role with clear performance measures — not ambiguity.
  • Direct access to the Director, Strategic Relationships and firm partners.
  • Protected hours. No expectation of work outside 9–6.
  • Room to grow within a sophisticated professional-services BD function.
  • AI tooling and training — we expect you to use it, not fear it.
