Our client is excited to welcome a passionate Data Science Analyst to partner with clients and internal teams in turning real-world challenges into cutting-edge AI and analytics solutions. You'll drive projects from initial testing straight through to implementation, making data science and AI techniques the core of everything you do. Working alongside senior consultants, you'll also have fantastic opportunities to sharpen your business analysis skills and champion continuous improvement on high-impact client projects!
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM UK Time, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities:
Data Scientist Responsibilities (approximately 70%):
- Manage data pipelines and support data collection, cleaning, validation, and preparation from multiple data sources.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.
- Build, evaluate, and improve predictive and machine learning models using appropriate techniques including:
- Regression
- Classification
- Clustering
- Time-series forecasting
- Tree-based models
- Neural networks
- NLP and LLM workflows
- Recommendation systems
- Model validation and explainability
- Develop reusable Python-based analytical workflows and support automation of data science processes.
- Support deployment of AI, analytics, or automation solutions into client or operational environments.
- Produce dashboards, reports, and presentations that communicate technical findings to business stakeholders.
Business Analysis & Continuous Improvement (approximately 30%):
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements for AI and analytics initiatives.
- Support the translation of business needs into analytical or technical requirements under the guidance of senior consultants.
- Participate in process mapping, workflow analysis, and requirements workshops where appropriate.
- Help evaluate opportunities where AI or automation may improve existing business processes.
- Contribute to testing, implementation, and adoption activities for AI solutions.
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques when supporting client engagements.
- Exposure to quality improvement methodologies such as Lean, Agile, or continuous improvement practices is beneficial but not essential.
Requirements:
- Approximately 2–3 years of industry project experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong Python skills with experience using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, or similar.
- Experience with data preparation, exploratory data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with the end-to-end data science lifecycle.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
- Good project management, stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to business analysis or requirements gathering.
- Experience participating in process improvement or operational improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with Agile project delivery environments.
- Training or certification in Agile, Scrum, Project Management, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, Microsoft DevOps, or similar project management tools.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other BI platforms.
- Experience working within consulting or professional services or services industry (particularly financial services) or marketing function an advantage.

During this period, their performance and overall fit will be evaluated. Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will be offered a full-time position. )
