Job Overview
Our client is looking for a Data Migration Specialist to join their team in Australia. This role plays a critical part in ensuring client data is accurately migrated during onboarding and beyond. The successful candidate will be instrumental in helping law firms transition from legacy systems by ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Data Transition: Support law firms in transitioning from legacy systems through accurate and efficient manual data entry.
- Migration Tasks: Import contacts, create matters with metadata, consolidate billing, and migrate documents and safe custody records.
- Data Management: Use intermediate Excel skills to organize, validate, and cleanse data throughout the migration process.
- Troubleshooting: Collaborate with the Senior Data Migration Specialist to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous QA checks to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
- Performance: Meet KPIs related to data entry speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Problem Solving: Identify issues during migration and apply analytical skills to deliver effective solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth client onboarding.
Requirements
- Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Experience: Proven experience in manual data entry and/or data migration; legal industry experience is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and minimizing errors in high-stakes environments.
- Organization: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Analytical Ability: Problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of legal terminology is desirable but not required.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
