B2B Digital Marketing Specialist (IT Industry)

Client Overview:

A well-established IT consultancy and procurement business that’s been serving small-to-medium enterprises across Australia for over 12 years. After a strategic streamlining phase, they’re now entering an exciting growth period and building their marketing infrastructure from the ground up. They work with major technology vendors including HP, Lenovo, HPE, Cisco, and Microsoft in the competitive IT reseller space.

Role Overview:

You’ll own the entire marketing strategy for a growing IT consultancy that’s ready to scale. This is a rare opportunity to build marketing programs from scratch while working directly with leadership to shape the company’s 2026 growth initiatives. You’ll have the autonomy to recommend tools, strategies, and campaigns while developing comprehensive marketing plans that drive brand awareness in the competitive Australian IT market. Your strategic guidance will directly impact how this established business positions itself for its next phase of growth.

Schedule:

  • Flexible between Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm AEST (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategy and business plans for 2026 growth initiatives
  • Build and execute LinkedIn marketing campaigns to establish brand presence in the IT industry
  • Create internal and external branding strategies that resonate with both customers and vendor partners
  • Design and implement EDM campaigns, promotional materials, and lead generation programs
  • Manage vendor relationship marketing and ensure compliance with partner guidelines
  • Coordinate lunch-and-learns and training programs with major technology vendors
  • Identify and leverage rebate opportunities, incentives, and product vertical strategies
  • Conduct market research specific to the IT reseller and technology procurement space
  • Provide strategic direction for content creation and campaign development
  • Recommend and implement marketing tools and platforms to build infrastructure from ground up

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of digital marketing experience with proven strategic thinking capabilities
  • Leadership experience running B2B IT channel marketing initiatives (not required but preferred)
  • Experience in B2B marketing, ideally within IT industry, technology reseller space, or vendor/distributor management
  • Strong track record in LinkedIn marketing and professional social media campaigns
  • Experience with EDM platforms, marketing automation, and campaign management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to build marketing programs and processes from scratch
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Bonus if you have experience with vendor relationship management or channel marketing
  • It helps if you understand the Australian IT market and procurement processes

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
