Work Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM GMT (1-hour unpaid break) - 40+ hrs/week
Job Description: You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy for a technology company during an exciting period of growth. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while being integral to supporting accounting operations that keep critical infrastructure projects running smoothly. You’ll work with modern cloud-based systems and have the opportunity to grow with the business as they expand their operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations in Xero
- Update and maintain general ledgers and journals with precision
- Manage accounts payable processes including invoice processing and approval workflows
- Handle day-to-day expense management and processing
- Maintain accounts receivable records and track outstanding payments
- Flag and follow up on overdue invoices to optimize cash flow
- Process complex project-based invoicing with multiple supplier relationships
- Support the accounting team and provide coverage during staff transitions
- Keep integrated accounting systems (Xero and Simpro CRM) up to date with accurate financial data
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Xero accounting platform (essential)
- Solid knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
- Understanding of general ledger maintenance and journal entries
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong attention to detail
- Bonus if you have QuickBooks certification or equivalent accounting software experience

- It helps if you have experience with integrated CRM and accounting systems
