Job Overview

As Senior BIM Modeller (Revit & AutoCAD), you will produce and coordinate models and drawings across projects, working alongside in-house and outsourced modellers and drafters. You will be one of the most experienced members of the team, responsible for checking others' work, helping junior staff build their skills, and identifying ways to improve modelling standards, QA, and software use. Most of your time will be focused on hands-on modelling and drafting, working closely with the Head of Design on project priorities and timelines.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM AEST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D and 3D models and drawings to project and company standards
• Coordinate models with other trades and consultants, including clash detection and resolution
• Review models and drawings from junior and outsourced modellers before issue
• Guide and mentor junior modellers and drafters
• Identify process and QA improvements and raise them with the Head of Design
• Attend site inspections, meetings, and site visits as required (may involve working from site for short periods)
• Assist with estimating and tender submissions as required
• Report to the Head of Design

Requirements

• Strong experience in design coordination and document control
• Advanced skills in 2D and 3D drafting and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
• Working knowledge of clash detection and BIM processes
• Ability to manage workload autonomously across several projects simultaneously
• Clear communication skills for liaising with clients, consultants, and the team
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify risks and resolve coordination issues
• Solid understanding of compliance requirements and industry standards
