Job Overview
Join a growing residential construction company as an HVAC Estimator. In this full-time remote role, you will review residential tract home construction plans, prepare accurate HVAC estimates, and provide detailed quotes for builders. Our client is looking for a candidate who has hands-on experience in residential HVAC estimating, a strong understanding of U.S. building codes and HVAC systems, and the ability to execute rapid, high-accuracy material takeoffs independently.

Responsibilities

• Review residential tract home construction plans and complete fast, precise HVAC material takeoffs for builders.
• Furnish detailed, itemized quotes based on project specifications, materials, and labor requirements without missing plan details.
• Manage and organize estimating data efficiently using spreadsheets.
• Coordinate with builders and internal teams to ensure estimates align with project scope and timelines.
• Track and manage multiple estimates across various tract developments simultaneously.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and code compliance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in HVAC estimating and takeoff creation for residential construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting U.S. construction plans and blueprints.
• Advanced skills in using spreadsheets to organize, calculate, and present takeoff data.
• Demonstrated ability to perform fast and highly accurate HVAC takeoffs with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems, materials, and installation processes.
• Familiarity with U.S. residential building codes and energy standards.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote setting.
