Job Overview
A well-established Australian coastal hospitality group's client is looking for a creative and data-driven Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager to own the digital presence across their portfolio of four hotel properties. Each venue operates independently across accommodation, restaurant, and function centre services, and you will manage the digital accounts for all four — creating content, running paid campaigns, and building community engagement that drives real bookings.
This is more than a social media role. You will be running Google Ads and Meta campaigns, managing LinkedIn pages alongside Facebook and Instagram, reporting on performance, and developing strategies that work across diverse coastal hospitality brands.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM AEST (20 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
Social Media & Content
- Manage and update LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram accounts for all four hotel properties and their function centres
- Create and schedule engaging content weekly across all venues and platforms
- Develop visual content using photos and videos provided by hotel staff, including video compilations from static images
- Monitor local events and opportunities to create timely, relevant content for coastal town audiences
- Promote seasonal events and special offerings such as Christmas functions and accommodation packages
- Write engaging copy, using AI tools where appropriate to maintain consistent posting schedules
Paid Advertising
- Run and optimise Google Ads campaigns for restaurant and function centre promotion
- Manage Meta advertising campaigns with allocated budgets to drive bookings and engagement across the portfolio
Reporting & Collaboration
- Provide analytics and reporting on campaign performance across all four properties, identifying what works and pivoting strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with hotel managers and business development staff via Teams to align content with each property's goals
Requirements
- Proven experience managing LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram — including content creation, scheduling, and community management across multiple accounts
- Demonstrated ability to run and optimise paid advertising campaigns on Google Ads and Meta platforms
- Portfolio showcasing previous social media content and campaign results
- Strong content writing skills with the ability to create engaging, on-brand posts and captions
- Experience with social media analytics and performance reporting
- Ability to create visual content including basic photo editing and video compilation
Nice to have:
- Experience in the hospitality, hotel, or food and beverage industry
- Familiarity with SEO principles and website content management
- Experience marketing function centres, event venues, or tourism/accommodation businesses
Independent Contractor Perks
- Permanent work from home
- Immediate hiring
