Bookkeeper — NDIS & Disability Services
Part-Time | 10 hours/week | Remote
About the Role
A compassionate disability support services provider based in Adelaide is looking for an experienced part-time Bookkeeper to manage the financial administration of the organisation. The company delivers a broad range of support services — including healthcare, nursing, support coordination, and community access — across the greater Adelaide region, operating 24/7.
This is a focused, hands-on bookkeeping role well suited to someone who knows Xero inside out, understands the financial and compliance requirements that come with operating in the NDIS space, and has worked with ShiftCare.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero including data entry, bank reconciliations, and transaction coding
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment follow-up
- Support payroll processing and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Assist with BAS preparation and liaise with the external accountant as required
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with NDIS funding and compliance requirements
- Work within ShiftCare to support accurate financial data flow and reconciliation with bookkeeping records
- Support month-end close processes and provide basic financial reporting as needed
- Flag any financial discrepancies or compliance concerns to management promptly
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven bookkeeping experience with strong, hands-on Xero proficiency
- Experience working within the NDIS — understanding of NDIS funding types, claiming, and financial compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience with ShiftCare, including working across its financial and rostering data
- Accurate and detail-oriented, with a consistent approach to record-keeping
- Able to work independently and manage a small but important workload with minimal supervision
- Reliable and trustworthy — comfortable handling confidential financial information
Advantageous
- Experience in disability services, aged care, or allied health
- Familiarity with NDIS provider compliance obligations in South Australia
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or similar
Engagement Details
- Part-time, approximately 10 hours per week
- Remote, flexible scheduling
