Job Overview:
Are you an organized administrative professional with a proven track record of managing customer inquiries and keeping business operations running seamlessly?
We are seeking an Admin & Customer Support star who thrives in customer-facing roles, with experience handling basic invoicing, CRM management, and scheduling. If you have supported trade, construction, or owner-operated teams in fast-paced environments where priorities shift quickly, your adaptability and self-management will make an immediate impact. In this role, your sharp communication and follow-through will streamline our entire sales cycle—directly driving orders from initial inquiry to final installation.
Client Overview:
A growing UK-based window and door installation company delivering high-quality solutions to residential and commercial customers. The business is owner-led and built on a strong local reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and attentive customer service. As demand continues to grow, the team is expanding its support function to protect that reputation while freeing up ownership capacity for strategic development.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM GMT (20 work hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound customer enquiries and provide timely, professional responses to maintain the company's trusted reputation
- Coordinate and maintain the clients' installation and survey diary to eliminate scheduling gaps and maximise productivity
- Process and track invoices, payments, and documentation requests to ensure nothing is missed or delayed
- Liaise with customers throughout the sales cycle to keep orders progressing from enquiry to manufacture efficiently
- Support day-to-day administrative operations including filing, record-keeping, and correspondence
- Learn the company's product range to confidently address common customer questions about windows and doors
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer-facing support role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and follow-through on tasks
- Willingness to learn a new industry and develop product knowledge over time
- Ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision
Qualifications:
- Bonus if you have experience in a trade, construction, or home improvement environment — product knowledge will come faster
- It helps if you have worked with basic invoicing, scheduling, or CRM tools in a previous role
- Bonus if you have supported a field-based or owner-operated team where priorities shift quickly and self-management is essential
Why Join This Team:
- Fully remote role — work from home on a consistent, predictable morning schedule
- Part-time hours (approx. 20 hrs/week, mornings only) offer genuine work-life balance without sacrificing career engagement
- Close-knit, owner-led environment where your contributions are directly visible and genuinely valued
- Stable, long-term engagement with a business that has a proven track record and strong customer loyalty
- Real ownership of your role — you set the standard for how customers are treated and how operations run day to day
- Opportunity to grow with the business as it scales, with the potential to take on greater responsibility over time
Independent Contractor Perks:
- Permanent work from home
- Immediate hiring
