Senior Paid Media Buyer | Meta & Google Ads | Zapier & GoHighLevel
Location: Remote
Schedule: 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. US Eastern Time, eight working hours per day
Engagement: Full-time independent contractor
About the opportunity
Our client is a digital marketing agency supporting service-based businesses through paid advertising and lead generation. They are seeking a hands-on Senior Paid Media Buyer to manage Meta and Google Ads campaigns and ensure leads move accurately from advertising platforms into the client’s CRM and follow-up workflows.
This role combines campaign ownership with practical technical execution. You should be comfortable optimizing an account, diagnosing a tracking issue, building a Zapier connection, and explaining your recommendations clearly. It is suited to someone who enjoys working directly in advertising accounts rather than focusing only on strategy or delegating execution.
What you will own
Paid media strategy and execution
Senior Paid Media Buyer – Meta & Google Ads | Zapier & GoHighLevel
Key Responsibilities
1. Paid Media Strategy & Campaign Management
- Build, launch, manage, and optimize Meta and Google Ads campaigns across a portfolio of 15+ active client accounts.
- Translate client objectives into campaign structures, audience targeting, bidding strategies, budgets, and testing plans.
- Monitor advertising spend, delivery, cost per lead (CPL), conversions, and lead quality, making data-driven optimization decisions.
- Conduct ongoing testing of audiences, creative assets, messaging, lead forms, and landing pages to improve campaign performance.
- Prioritize accounts based on business impact and urgency, maintaining consistent monitoring, optimization, and follow-through.
2. Lead Tracking, Zapier & GoHighLevel Integration
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Zapier workflows connecting Meta lead forms with GoHighLevel (GHL) and related platforms.
- Configure field mapping, lead routing, CRM pipeline placement, and automated follow-up triggers.
- Test end-to-end lead workflows to verify that records are captured accurately and delivered to the correct destinations.
- Identify and resolve failed automations, missing leads, duplicate records, broken integrations, and tracking discrepancies.
- Implement, configure, and validate conversion tracking using relevant tools, including Meta Pixel, Conversion API, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
3. Quality Assurance & Account Protection
- Follow pre-launch quality assurance checklists covering budgets, campaign dates, forms, links, targeting, conversion events, and lead delivery.
- Verify that campaign changes and technical updates produce the intended results before considering tasks complete.
- Document significant campaign changes, the rationale behind decisions, and the resulting performance.
- Proactively identify and escalate access restrictions, delivery interruptions, tracking failures, unusual advertising spend, and other account risks.
- Follow advertising platform policies, secure access practices, and client-approved procedures.
4. Client Communication & Collaboration
- Participate in client meetings during US Eastern business hours and communicate campaign performance and recommendations in clear, professional English.
- Listen carefully, clarify requirements, and confirm priorities before implementing significant changes.
- Provide concise performance updates explaining what changed, what the data indicates, and what actions are recommended.
- Investigate and resolve problems independently while recognizing when client approval or escalation is necessary.
- Collaborate with creative, content, and web teams on advertising assets, landing pages, and conversion improvements.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- At least five years of hands-on paid media experience within a digital marketing agency or a comparable multi-client environment.
- Demonstrated experience personally managing Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns for service-based businesses, particularly lead-generation campaigns.
- Practical experience building, testing, and troubleshooting Zapier automations rather than simply using workflows created by others.
- Hands-on experience with GoHighLevel, including lead capture, field mapping, pipeline routing, and automated follow-up workflows.
- Working knowledge of conversion tracking and attribution, with the ability to verify tracking functionality and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple advertising accounts.
- Ability to explain campaign decisions using relevant performance metrics and examples of previous work.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, attentive listening, and confidence communicating directly with clients.
- Excellent attention to detail, accountability, reliable follow-through, and willingness to work within established processes and feedback.
- Reliable internet connectivity and a clear audio setup suitable for regular video meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing 15 or more client accounts simultaneously.
- Experience running lead-generation campaigns for home services, healthcare, professional services, real estate, or similar industries.
- Experience with landing page testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Ability to diagnose complex tracking and attribution issues across advertising platforms and CRM systems.
- Experience creating repeatable campaign QA checklists, reporting routines, and automation documentation.
What Successful Performance Looks Like
- Campaigns launch with verified budgets, correct assets, functioning tracking, and tested lead delivery.
- Leads reach the correct CRM records, pipelines, and follow-up workflows without preventable errors.
- Account issues are identified early, communicated clearly, and followed through to resolution.
- Optimization decisions connect advertising performance with lead quality and client business objectives.
- Clients receive clear updates and informed recommendations without needing to provide constant direction.
- Campaign changes, technical configurations, and troubleshooting activities are documented to support continuity and collaboration.
