Overview
Our client is looking for a driven Pharmaceutical Sourcing Specialist to serve as the voice and first point of contact for a growing European pharmaceutical sourcing operation. Based in Amsterdam, this newly founded venture leverages AI-driven strategies to connect with international suppliers and wholesalers across Europe. Working directly with the founder, you will conduct outbound consultative calls, assess supplier capabilities, and lay the groundwork for long-term partnerships. This remote opportunity allows you to directly impact the company's growth while shaping overall sourcing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with international pharmaceutical suppliers and wholesalers through proactive outbound calling
• Screen suppliers for quality and compliance with GDP and GMP requirements
• Conduct initial discussions to understand supplier minimum order quantities, pricing structures, and delivery capabilities
• Identify market and inventory opportunities and share insights that contribute to the overall sourcing strategy
• Negotiate preliminary pricing, delivery times, and contract terms with supplier contacts
• Assess compatibility and readiness for partnership during first-contact conversations
• Provide feedback to the founder on supplier insights, market trends, and relationship-building progress
• Support the AI-driven sourcing platform by contributing real-world supplier intelligence gathered through calls

Requirements

• Fluent in English with excellent verbal communication skills
• Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, sourcing, or supplier relationship management
• Familiarity with GDP and GMP compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical industry
• Strong relationship-building and consultative communication skills
• Ability to conduct professional, reputation-sensitive conversations with pharmaceutical suppliers
• Experience with outbound calling and initial supplier qualification
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, part-time capacity
• Bonus if you have experience sourcing within the European pharmaceutical market
• It helps if you've worked in a startup or early-stage business environment
• Bonus if you have negotiation experience related to pharmaceutical pricing or contract terms
• It helps if you're familiar with VoIP calling systems or CRM tools
