We move people onto new projects often, so you'll use your main skills every day and get the chance to build your secondary ones too.

About the role
You'll own how our applications get deployed, scaled and kept running. You'll work closely with our developers to automate more of that process and make our systems faster, more reliable and more secure.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm; Adelaide

What you'll do

• Build and maintain our infrastructure as code
• Deploy, scale and manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes
• Run our cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or GCP
• Work with developers to make sure applications are secure and can handle growth
• Monitor systems, then find and fix performance problems
• Set up and maintain security practices across apps and infrastructure
• Look after backups, disaster recovery and rollback procedures
• Try out new tools and upgrades that improve how we work
• Write and update documentation: architecture diagrams, deployment runbooks and SOPs

What you'll need

• 2+ years as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python or PowerShell
• Experience with Git
• Solid Linux administration skills
• Experience running infrastructure on AWS, Azure or GCP
• A good grasp of application and infrastructure security
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog or the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir)
• Fluent English and clear communication
• Comfort asking questions and learning as you go

Nice to have

• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines or Jenkins
• Experience with serverless architectures
• AWS, Azure or GCP certifications
• Experience working in agile teams
• A degree in computer science or a related field
