Job description

You will take full ownership of bookkeeping for a diverse client portfolio, keeping financial records clean, current, and reconciled across multiple accounts. You will work closely with an onshore accounting team, handling everything from accounts receivable and payable to transaction processing — all within a secure, professional CPA environment. This is a role for someone who thrives with autonomy, takes pride in accuracy, and wants a stable, long-term engagement where their work directly supports a firm's growth.

Schedule: Flexible with some MST overlap twice a week

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts receivable and accounts payable for multiple clients
• Process and upload transactions efficiently for clients requiring streamlined accounting services
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts
• Adapt workflow based on client service level, balancing thoroughness with cost-efficiency
• Support the firm's accounting team during peak periods and urgent deadlines

Must-have requirements

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop (mandatory)
• Familiarity with CaseWare and TaxCycle
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and training
• Willingness to be flexible with hours occasionally during urgent deadlines

Nice-to-have requirements

• Bonus if you have working knowledge of Xero and can transition between platforms with ease
• It helps if you have prior experience working within a CPA or multi-client accounting firm environment
• Bonus if you're comfortable managing shifting priorities across a varied client portfolio under deadline pressure
