Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Drafter (Revit) to take immediate ownership of residential and commercial architectural projects. Working directly with the principal architect, you will produce technical drawings and construction documents using Revit for an established Canadian architecture and engineering firm. Candidates should have a solid grasp of North American building systems and wood construction principles to deliver high-quality work autonomously. This remote opportunity offers immediate project involvement, a path to grow from part-time to full-time, and long-term stability with a proven team.

Schedule:

• Part-Time (20 hours per week) , Monday to Friday, flexible during client business hours

Responsibilities

• Produce construction documents and technical drawings using Revit for residential and commercial projects
• Develop detailed architectural plans that comply with North American or Australian building codes and standards
• Apply wood construction principles to design and documentation work
• Collaborate directly with the principal architect to understand project requirements and design intent
• Revise and refine drawings based on feedback while maintaining project timelines
• Ensure all deliverables meet professional standards and client expectations
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while tracking hours against specific job codes
• Communicate proactively about project progress, challenges, and timelines

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in architecture or drafting
• Advanced proficiency in Revit (this is non-negotiable)
• Solid understanding of wood construction methods and building systems used in North America or Australia
• Completed degree or certification in architecture or engineering
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction effectively
• Experience working remotely or with international teams

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Bonus if you have working knowledge of AutoCAD
• It helps if you have experience with Photoshop or other design visualization tools
• Bonus if you have worked on projects in the Australian market
• It helps if you have experience in both residential and commercial architecture
