B2B Sales Development Representative

Job Overview

Our client is an independent electronic component distributor serving manufacturers across a variety of industries. They are looking for an outbound B2B Sales Development Representative whose primary responsibility will be generating opportunities to acquire, consign, or help liquidate excess and obsolete electronic component inventory. This is an outbound business-development and lead-generation position where you will proactively contact manufacturers, identify supply-chain personnel, develop relationships, and uncover inventory disposition opportunities to turn over to management.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume outbound B2B prospecting via phone, email, and online research to contact OEMs, contract manufacturers, and EMS providers.
  • Identify key decision-makers in materials, procurement, supply chain, and E&O inventory disposition, overcoming gatekeepers as needed.
  • Introduce the company's excess inventory solutions and evaluate whether target prospects have obsolete, slow-moving, or program-cancellation stock.
  • Request excess inventory lists and identify upcoming E&O reviews or disposition events to secure inclusion on bid lists.
  • Maintain consistent, repeated follow-ups with qualified accounts to cultivate long-term disposition relationships.
  • Record accurate and detailed log entries of all calls, emails, contacts, and activity statuses within the CRM.
  • Escalate qualified excess inventory, acquisition, and consignment opportunities directly to management for evaluation and pricing.

Requirements

  • Proven outbound B2B business development experience with high-volume cold calling and persistent lead follow-up.
  • Strong professional English communication skills (written and spoken) tailored for engaging U.S.-based procurement executives.
  • Ability to effectively navigate company receptionists and gatekeepers to identify correct supply-chain stakeholders.
  • High organizational skills with strict discipline in maintaining CRM activity records and contact data.
  • Proficiency using email, spreadsheets, CRM systems, online research methods, and AI-assisted prospecting tools.
  • Motivated by performance metrics centered on generating qualified business opportunities rather than simple activity counts.
  • Capability to work full-time hours aligned with standard U.S. business schedules (EST).

Independent Contractor Perks

  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
  • Health Insurance Coverage for eligible locations
