Web Dev & SEO Specialist

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Web Developer & SEO Specialist who can build, maintain, and optimize websites while ensuring SEO best practices are implemented from the ground up. This role will support both the website and SEO teams to improve site performance, visibility, and user experience.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Build, update, and maintain websites (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, or similar platforms)
  • Ensure websites are SEO-friendly in structure, speed, and performance
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices (meta tags, headings, internal linking, content optimization)
  • Collaborate with SEO and content teams to align development with search strategy
  • Optimize site speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall UX
  • Conduct basic technical SEO checks (indexing, crawlability, broken links, redirects)
  • Troubleshoot website and SEO-related issues
  • Support ongoing improvements and updates across multiple sites
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 -7 years of combined experience in website development and SEO
  • Strong experience with website builders/CMS (WordPress preferred)
  • Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and technical SEO
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website performance optimization
  • Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal
Must-Have
Local SEO experience, especially working with location-based or service-area businesses (e.g., Google Business Profiles, local landing pages, local schema, multi-location sites)
 
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of schema markup and Core Web Vitals
  • Experience with site migrations or redesigns
  • Understanding of AI, LLMs, and modern search concepts such as AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO
  • Recent experience (within the last 2 years) applying AI or LLM concepts to SEO workflows
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (SEO, content, marketing, dev)
