Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced, AAPC-certified Professional Coder with knowledge of medical coding and billing. The ideal candidate will have experience in urgent care billing or professional medical billing and be comfortable reviewing clinical documentation, validating CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, NDC codes, modifiers, and ensuring claims meet payer-specific billing requirements.
Our client is looking for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and proactive coder who can independently review documentation, validate coding, identify billing issues, and ensure claims are accurately prepared before submission. The ideal candidate understands that accurate coding goes beyond selecting a CPT code. They should be able to evaluate documentation, modifiers, NDC/HCPCS reporting, payer requirements, and claim structure to help prevent denials and ensure appropriate reimbursement. Candidates should be comfortable researching payer guidelines, identifying problems, and bringing solutions—not simply identifying errors.
