Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shopify & SEO Content Assistant to bridge the gap between digital operations and customer experience. You will be responsible for maintaining the storefront, ensuring product data is flawless, and supporting the growth of a high-volume online sales channel.

Client Overview:

This Australian retail business is a Melbourne-based importer and seller of premium bathroom products. They operate multiple physical showrooms alongside a high-growth Shopify store serving customers nationwide.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (Australian Eastern Time) with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Optimize Shopify product listings, imagery, and descriptions for maximum conversion.
• Write and update SEO-friendly content to drive organic traffic.
• Maintain real-time accuracy of product information and inventory visibility.
• Monitor website performance metrics and suggest technical improvements.
• Coordinate with the internal marketing team and external SEO agencies.
• Manage day-to-day website updates and administrative e-commerce tasks.
• Support overall e-commerce operations to ensure brand consistency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing Shopify stores and product catalogs.
• Solid understanding of SEO principles and content writing for e-commerce.
• High level of attention to detail regarding brand consistency and data accuracy.
• Ability to handle high-volume tasks within a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Bonus if experienced with HubSpot CRM or Slack.
• It helps if you have a background in home improvement or retail products.
