Job Description:
You will serve as the primary technical driver of digital transformation across a dynamic, dual-entity operation — taking ownership of the company's entire technology stack and turning inefficiencies into streamlined, automated workflows. You will design and build solutions that deliver real, measurable impact from day one: automating contract processing, creating live sales dashboards, and developing commission tracking systems that keep the business running with precision. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role where your work will be felt across every corner of the organisation, with a long-term runway to continuously evolve and modernise the company's infrastructure.
Client Overview:
This is a growing energy and logistics trading company operating across two entities in the UK and Ireland. The business is at an exciting stage of digital transformation, looking to modernise its internal operations and leverage technology to drive efficiency at scale. With a lean, collaborative team and a clear mandate for improvement, this organisation is ready to invest in the right technical talent to take their systems to the next level.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, flexible schedule within the client’s business hours (between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm), UK Time (with a 1-hour unpaid break), 40 hours per week/8 hours per day
Responsibilities:
- Audit existing systems, tools, and workflows across the organization to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Design and implement automated contract processing workflows using Power Automate, SharePoint, and Forms
- Build internal sales reporting dashboards to provide real-time visibility into business performance
- Develop automated commission tracking and sub-agent payment workflows to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Streamline the internal tender process and optimize how existing Microsoft 365 tools are utilized across the team
- Evaluate and recommend system integrations or replacements to modernize business operations
Must Have Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Power Automate, SharePoint, and Forms
- Experience building automated document processing workflows, including PDF data extraction
- Demonstrated ability to assess business processes and deliver practical, implementable solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, IT-manager mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
- Preference for candidates with experience working across multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction business environments, such as the UK and Ireland.
- A background in energy, logistics, or trading sectors—with an understanding of industry-specific operational workflows—is a strong advantage.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools for advanced reporting and data visualisation is highly desirable.
Why Join This Team:
- 100% remote role — work from anywhere with full flexibility
- Full-time, stable long-term engagement with a clear mandate and genuine organisational support
- High-ownership position — you are the primary technical resource, meaning your decisions and solutions have direct, visible impact
- Immediate opportunity to deliver quick wins and build a track record of transformation from day one
- Long-term runway to continuously develop and evolve the company's technology infrastructure as the business grows
- Work within a lean, collaborative team where your expertise is valued and your contributions are recognised
Independent Contractor Perks
- Permanent work from home
- Immediate hiring
- Health Insurance Coverage for eligible locations
