Nonprofit Digital Communications Specialist

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, flexible schedule within the client’s business hours (Australian Eastern Time, 20 hours per week)

Scope:

  • Establish the organization's full digital presence, including a functional and visually appealing website
  • Develop and execute a social media strategy that highlights programs, workshops, and partnerships
  • Ensure all digital content aligns with the organization's mission of empowering women of color in the mental health space
  • Support transparency efforts by creating content that demonstrates value to partners and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the founding team to align digital initiatives with organizational goals

Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop the organization's website from scratch, ensuring it effectively communicates the nonprofit's mission and programs
  • Create and manage social media content that showcases the organization's work and impact in the community
  • Maintain brand consistency and transparency across all digital platforms to build trust with partners and stakeholders
  • Develop content strategies aimed at expanding the organization's reach and audience engagement
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on website progress and social media performance to the founding team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in website development, including building sites from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of social media management and content creation for nonprofit or community-driven organizations
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messaging
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting
