Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Roofing & Painting Estimator to lead our project takeoff and bidding process. The primary focus of this role is commercial roofing estimation across multifamily, apartment, and commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for reading plans, conducting precise material/labor takeoffs, and crafting competitive bid proposals for a wide range of commercial roofing systems and protective coatings.

Schedule: Remote, Full Time | Monday to Friday 8AM - 5PM CST Texas time.

Responsibilities:

• Plan & Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret complex commercial architectural blueprints, structural drawings, and project specifications.
• Roofing & Painting Takeoffs: Perform complete material and labor quantity takeoffs for commercial roofing systems and commercial painting/coatings.
• Proposal & Bid Preparation: Prepare thorough, accurate, and competitive commercial cost estimates and bid proposals within tight deadlines.
• Multi-System Estimating: Calculate costs across diverse roofing systems, including TPO, Modified Bitumen, Shingles, Roof Coatings, Metal Roofing, and flat roof assemblies.
• Software Operations: Utilize estimating software to create digital takeoffs, track material pricing, and log project labor metrics.

Requirements:

• Commercial Roofing Focus: Proven experience preparing commercial roofing estimates and blueprint takeoffs (multifamily, apartments, retail, industrial).
• Technical System Knowledge: Strong understanding of installation processes, labor requirements, and material costs for TPO, Mod-Bit, Shingles, Coatings, and Metal.
• Blueprint Proficiency: Expertise in reading construction drawings, specs, structural details, and addenda.
• Software Experience: Proficiency in STACK Takeoff & Estimating is strongly preferred. Strong proficiency in similar digital takeoff platforms (Edge, On-Center, PlanSwift) with the ability to quickly adapt to STACK will also be considered.
• Commercial Painting Estimating: Hands-on experience performing interior/exterior commercial painting and coating takeoffs.
• Direct background working on large-scale commercial or multi-family construction projects.
