Our client is looking for an E-commerce Specialist who will be the technical backbone behind a growing vintage fashion business, optimizing their Shopify store and newly integrated eBay platform to scale operations efficiently. With 1,500 unique products migrating to eBay and zero selling fees for six months through an exclusive partnership, you'll ensure seamless platform integration, maximize SEO performance, and improve conversion rates across multiple channels. This role demands someone who thrives on backend optimization and can translate technical improvements into measurable sales results without needing fashion expertise.
Client Overview
Our client is an established vintage clothing retailer based in Brisbane, Australia, specializing in authentic designer and vintage pieces 20 years or older. They import approximately 50 tons annually from North America and curate unique, one-of-a-kind garments for an elevated marketplace. With 15 years in business and recent partnership opportunities with major e-commerce platforms, they're positioned for significant growth in Australia's emerging vintage market.
Schedule 21 hours a week - 3 days a week (any days Mon-Fri) 10:00am-5:30 with 30minutes lunch break
Responsibilities
- Optimize SEO across Shopify and eBay platforms including meta tags, product descriptions, and search algorithms
- Manage backend technical integration between Shopify and eBay using platform-specific tools and APIs
- Analyze conversion data and recommend improvements to product listings and site architecture
- Oversee inventory management for 1,500+ unique, one-of-a-kind products across multiple sales channels
- Troubleshoot technical issues with e-commerce platforms and third-party integrations
- Implement best practices for product categorization, tagging, and searchability
- Monitor platform algorithm changes and adjust strategies to maintain visibility
- Provide strategic recommendations on platform optimization to support business scaling
Requirements
- Proven experience as an E-commerce Specialist working with Shopify, eBay, or Amazon
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, meta tags, and e-commerce conversion optimization
- Technical proficiency with backend platform management and system integrations
- Experience managing large product catalogs with unique inventory items
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable improvements
- Self-directed problem solver who can research and implement solutions independently
- Excellent communication skills for providing clear technical recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bonus if you have experience with vintage or fashion e-commerce businesses
- It helps if you're familiar with marketplace integrations and multi-channel selling
