Job Overview

Our client, an electronics distribution company, is seeking a highly skilled Excel Systems & Data Analyst to work with their team on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities

  • Build and improve Excel-based operational systems.

  • Create automated reporting and dashboards.
  • Combine and reconcile information from multiple spreadsheets.

  • Automate repetitive manual Excel work.
  • Create clean and easy-to-use templates for the team.
  • Identify errors, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies in existing data.
  • Recommend improvements instead of simply following instructions.
  • Document systems so they can be easily maintained and used by the team.

Requirements

  • Highly proficient with advanced Excel formulas (XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP, INDEX / MATCH, SUMIFS / COUNTIFS, conditional formulas, dynamic arrays).
  • Strong experience with Pivot Tables, Data Validation, data cleaning, reconciliation, Power Query, and Excel dashboards handling large datasets.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving mindset with the ability to take a broad business objective, design a complete solution, and build it independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and proactive working style.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate system improvements clearly to management.

Nice To Have

  • Knowledge of VBA / Macros, Power Pivot, Power BI, SQL, Power Automate, Google Sheets / Apps Script, or workflow automation tools.
