Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Architectural CAD Drafter to serve as a dedicated drafting specialist responsible for transforming architectural drawings into detailed shop drawings for stone and tile installation projects. In this role, you will create comprehensive floor plans, elevations, wall sections, and call-out details for multi-story buildings, working directly with the project manager to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. This is a long-term opportunity where your technical skills will directly impact project timelines and client satisfaction on high-profile construction projects.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings from architectural plans for residential and commercial stone and tile projects.
• Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, and sections for multi-story buildings (up to 38+ floors).
• Produce installation method drawings and layout specifications for typical bathroom and commercial spaces.
• Generate wall sections, call-outs, and technical details for specialty trade installations.
• Revise drawings quickly as project requirements change throughout the construction process.
• Collaborate directly with the project manager to incorporate feedback and recommendations.
• Maintain quality standards while meeting general contractor deadlines.
• Handle multiple concurrent projects with varying complexity levels.

Requirements

• Proven experience creating shop drawings for construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software for architectural drafting.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings accurately.
• Experience with floor plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings.
• Capability to produce quality work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong listening skills and ability to implement feedback effectively.
• Reliable turnaround time and ability to meet strict project deadlines.

Nice To Have

• Experience with stone and tile installation drawings.
