E-commerce Catalog Manager – Amazon Specialist

E-commerce Catalog Manager – Amazon Specialist

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and highly capable E-commerce Catalog Manager with strong Amazon expertise to manage and maintain product catalogs across multiple e-commerce platforms.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central and be confident managing product listings, inventory, catalog data, bulk uploads, and day-to-day marketplace operations. Experience with eBay, Etsy, and other e-commerce platforms is also highly valued.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with large amounts of product data, and able to efficiently manage listings using AI tools and data-driven workflows.

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday, flexible
  • 20–32 work hours per week

Responsibilities

Amazon & Marketplace Management

  • Manage and maintain product listings primarily through Amazon Seller Central, ensuring listings are accurate, complete, and optimized.
  • Create, update, and maintain Amazon product listings, including titles, bullet points, descriptions, attributes, images, pricing, and other catalog information.
  • Manage product variations, SKUs, categories, and catalog attributes on Amazon.
  • Monitor Amazon inventory levels and ensure products are correctly activated, deactivated, or updated based on stock availability.
  • Identify and resolve basic Amazon listing, catalog, and inventory issues.
  • Perform bulk listing and catalog updates using Amazon flat files/templates and CSV files.
  • Manage product listings and inventory across other e-commerce platforms such as eBay, Etsy, and the company website.
  • Copy and adapt existing listings from eBay and Etsy to the company website and other marketplaces.

Product Listing & Catalog Management

  • Create and update product listings using AI tools and efficient copy-and-paste methodologies.
  • Create approximately 6 new product listings per day to maintain marketplace activity and visibility.
  • Ensure product information, pricing, SKUs, descriptions, images, and inventory data are accurate across all platforms.
  • Monitor and maintain product catalogs to identify missing, outdated, duplicate, or incorrect information.
  • Prepare CSV files and marketplace templates for new platform integrations and catalog uploads, including potential B&Q expansion.

Inventory & Order Management

  • Monitor inventory levels across multiple sales channels.
  • Deactivate out-of-stock products and activate new products as inventory becomes available.
  • Process orders, refunds, and other routine marketplace transactions.
  • Monitor and respond to customer inquiries across applicable e-commerce platforms.
  • Help ensure inventory and product information remain consistent across all sales channels.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Analyze sales and marketplace data and prepare regular performance reports.
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets, CSV files, and product databases.
  • Identify catalog or inventory discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Support marketplace expansion and integration projects through accurate product data preparation.

Requirements

Essential

  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing Amazon product listings and catalogs.
  • Experience with Amazon bulk uploads, flat files, CSV templates, or similar catalog management tools.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon product data, SKUs, variations, categories, attributes, and inventory management.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, particularly Amazon, eBay, and Etsy.
  • Strong product catalog and inventory management skills.
  • Proficiency in working with spreadsheets, CSV files, and bulk product uploads.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify catalog and inventory discrepancies.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently while managing repetitive, detail-heavy tasks.

Preferred

  • Experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento.
  • Experience managing Amazon listings at scale.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central reports and inventory tools.
  • Experience troubleshooting Amazon listing/catalog issues.
  • Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT for product descriptions, listing content, research, and data processing.
  • Customer service experience, particularly for handling marketplace inquiries, refunds, and order-related issues.
  • Basic sales and e-commerce data analysis skills.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who knows Amazon Seller Central well, rather than someone with only general e-commerce experience. They should be comfortable working directly inside Amazon, managing product catalogs, making bulk updates, troubleshooting listing issues, and keeping inventory and product information accurate.

Strong attention to detail, speed, reliability, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Independent Contractor Perks

  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
