Presentation Designer

Job Overview:

This London-founded AI professional services firm partners with global leaders across investment management, trade, marketing, and other professional services to deliver rigorous, high-quality AI solutions. As a Presentations Specialist, you will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to create, manage, refine, and deliver high-quality presentation decks for client meetings, AI training sessions, workshops, webinars, sales activities, and other business engagements. The primary focus of this role is presentation development, deck management, visual communication, and presentation quality control. You will be responsible for ensuring that every presentation is clear, professional, visually engaging, well-structured, appropriately branded, and ready for delivery. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, visually minded, organised, and confident working with PowerPoint and/or Google Slides. You should be comfortable taking existing content, ideas, notes, or rough materials and transforming them into polished, executive-level presentations. While presentation expertise is the immediate priority, the company intends to develop this role over time. You will have opportunities to learn and contribute to areas such as content marketing, AI, sales support, SEO, and other business development activities as your capabilities develop.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, flexible schedule within the client’s business hours (with specific event/session support typically between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Presentation & Deck Development — Primary Responsibility

Objective: Create and maintain polished, professional, and engaging presentations that meet a high executive standard.

    • Ensure presentations have a clear narrative, logical flow, and appropriate level of detail for the intended audience.
  • Deck Refresh & Management
    • Review and refresh existing presentation decks regularly.
    • Improve slide layouts, formatting, visual hierarchy, consistency, and readability.
    • Maintain master presentation templates and ensure all decks follow established branding guidelines.
    • Manage multiple versions of presentations and ensure the correct final version is used.
    • Maintain an organised presentation library and ensure files are easy to locate and access.
    • Identify outdated, duplicated, inconsistent, or low-quality slides and recommend improvements.
  • Presentation Quality Control
    • Proofread presentations for grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and consistency.
    • Ensure fonts, colours, spacing, alignment, imagery, charts, tables, and other visual elements are professionally presented.
    • Check that information is logically structured and easy for an audience to understand.
    • Conduct final quality checks before presentations are delivered externally.
    • Incorporate feedback efficiently and minimise repeated revisions.

Target: Develop or substantially refresh approximately 1 presentation deck per week, with final versions ideally approved at least 7 days before scheduled delivery.

2. Presentation Planning & Event Support

Objective: Ensure presentations and supporting materials are operationally ready and delivered smoothly.

  • Agenda & Presentation Flow
    • Work with the CEO, trainers, speakers, and other stakeholders to structure presentation agendas.
    • Ensure the presentation flow aligns with the intended session objectives and available time.
    • Manage slide sequencing and timing to support effective delivery.
    • Create speaker notes, timing guides, and presentation prompts where required.
    • Review presentation pacing and identify sections that may require adjustment.
  • Event & Webinar Preparation
    • Support the preparation of presentation materials for online training, workshops, webinars, and client sessions.
    • Coordinate presentation materials with speakers, trainers, and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure all required decks, supporting documents, links, and resources are prepared in advance.
    • Assist with MS Teams and Zoom setup where required.
    • Help ensure presentation materials are ready and tested before live sessions.
  • Live Presentation Support
    • Provide operational support during selected live training sessions, workshops, webinars, or meetings.
    • Monitor presentation timing against the agreed agenda.
    • Support speaker transitions and ensure the correct materials are available.
    • Make real-time adjustments to presentation materials when required.
    • Capture relevant notes, screenshots, or visual assets for future use.

Target: Ensure presentation and session materials are fully prepared approximately 7 days before delivery, wherever practical.

3. Presentation Systems & Process Improvement

Objective: Build an organised and repeatable system for managing the company's presentation assets.

  • Develop and maintain presentation templates and formatting standards.
  • Create and maintain a centralised presentation library.
  • Establish naming, version control, and file management conventions.
  • Document presentation development and review processes.
  • Create and maintain SOPs relating to presentation development and management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the speed, quality, and consistency of presentation production.
  • Develop reusable slide layouts, frameworks, templates, and presentation components.
  • Use AI and other productivity tools to accelerate presentation development while maintaining human quality control.

4. Future Development Opportunities

  • As the role develops and presentation responsibilities are consistently delivered to a high standard, there will be opportunities to expand into additional areas of the business. Potential areas of development include:
    • Content marketing and content creation
    • LinkedIn content development
    • Blog and case study development
    • AI-assisted content creation
    • Website content management
    • SEO, GEO, and AEO
    • Sales and business development support
    • Online event and webinar coordination
    • AI tools and workflows
    • Market and industry research

These areas are not required at the start of the role. The successful candidate will be supported and trained as the role evolves.

Core Requirements: Presentation Excellence

The most important requirement for this position is proven presentation and deck management capability. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Create polished and professional PowerPoint or Google Slides presentations.
  • Take rough or unstructured information and turn it into a clear presentation.
  • Apply strong visual design principles to business presentations.
  • Structure information into a compelling and logical narrative.
  • Maintain consistent branding across presentations.
  • Work confidently with slide layouts, typography, spacing, imagery, charts, tables, and other visual elements.
  • Manage multiple presentation versions and ensure accurate final files are delivered.
  • Work quickly and accurately while meeting deadlines.
  • Accept feedback and make revisions efficiently.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Produce work that requires minimal final review from the CEO over time.

The role requires someone who takes ownership of the final presentation, rather than simply formatting slides based on instructions.

Reliability & Quality Expectations:

  • Protecting Executive Time
    • Presentation work should progressively reach a level where the CEO can review and approve materials with minimal editing or correction. The goal is to consistently deliver executive-level presentation quality and minimise repeated feedback.
  • Attention to Detail
    • Small presentation errors can significantly affect the professionalism of a client-facing business. You will therefore be expected to identify and correct issues involving:
      • Grammar and spelling
      • Alignment
      • Formatting
      • Branding
      • Slide consistency
      • Data presentation

    • The company works with clients in professional and regulated sectors. You will be expected to maintain strict confidentiality and follow all applicable cybersecurity and data-handling requirements.
  • Human-in-the-Loop Quality Control
    • AI tools may be used extensively to improve productivity. However, you will retain full ownership of the final output. You are expected to review, fact-check, edit, format, and quality-control AI-assisted work rather than simply copying and pasting AI-generated content.

Requirements:

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Presentation & Design Skills
    • 2–3+ years of proven experience creating, managing, or developing professional presentations.
    • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Google Slides.
    • Demonstrated ability to create polished, professional, and visually engaging business presentations.
    • Strong understanding of presentation structure, visual hierarchy, slide composition, typography, spacing, and layout.
    • Ability to transform rough notes, documents, data, or ideas into clear and compelling presentation decks.
    • Experience managing and updating existing presentation decks and templates.
    • Strong proofreading and quality-control skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple presentation projects and deadlines independently.
    • Strong organisational and file/version management skills.
    • Ability to work with senior stakeholders and incorporate feedback professionally.
    • Strong written and spoken English.
    • High level of reliability, accountability, and ownership.
