Job Overview

Our client is looking for a skilled Video Editor to review full-length sermon recordings and repurpose them into engaging short-form clips and longer teaching segments. Content will initially focus on weekly sermons and expand to include podcast episodes as they launch. In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing Director to align on content direction, deliver consistent weekly output to support the church's social media and YouTube strategy, and adapt editing styles as content needs evolve.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM / 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM EST (16 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Review full-length sermon recordings (approximately one hour) and identify the most powerful and impactful moments for short-form content
• Edit and produce 2–3 short sermon clips (60–90 seconds each) per sermon for Instagram
• Edit and produce 1–2 longer teaching segments (approximately 15 minutes each) per sermon for YouTube
• Repurpose podcast episodes into short-form clips and longer teaching segments as the podcast launches
• Maintain brand consistency and quality across all video content produced for the church's social media and YouTube channels

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing, particularly with long-form to short-form content repurposing
• Strong storytelling instincts and the ability to identify compelling, high-impact moments within longer recordings
• High level of attention to detail in editing, pacing, and audio quality
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong time management skills and ability to deliver consistent output on a weekly basis
