Role Overview

We are seeking a  Senior Finance Manager – FP&A & Financial Controller  to lead the financial management of a multi-entity group operating across Australia and the UK. Reporting to the Global CEO, you will own financial reporting, cash flow, forecasting, controls, compliance, and commercial analysis while overseeing outsourced accounting providers.

• Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–11:00 PM Sydney Time (flexible to cover AU and UK business hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, management reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls across all entities.
• Review and sign off outsourced accounting deliverables and maintain audit-ready records.
• Prepare monthly management and Board reports, including P&L, budget vs. actuals, SKU margins, contribution, and cash position.
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.
• Build and maintain a 3-year three-way financial model covering P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Own the AU/UK 13-week cash flow forecast, payment runs, debt schedules, and AUD/GBP currency exposure.
• Manage key partner billing, receivables, statements, and finance processes for the UK distribution model.
• Support S&OP, pricing, landed costs, SKU economics, trade spend, and new product launches.
• Develop finance SOPs, improve processes, and integrate Xero and operational data into reliable reporting systems.
• Build dashboards and automation and use AI tools for analysis, reporting, checking, and workflow improvement.
• Ensure compliance with GST/BAS, VAT, payroll, WorkCover, and statutory requirements across relevant entities.
• Act as a finance business partner to Australian and UK leadership teams and provide commercially focused recommendations.

Requirements

• CA, CPA, or ACCA qualified with 6+ years in Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or FP&A roles.
• Proven multi-entity experience managing month-end close and management reporting.
• Strong knowledge of cash flow, three-way modelling, COGS, landed costs, and SKU-level margins.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
• Experience with Xero and multi-currency operations.
• Excellent English communication and confidence presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Available to work across Australian and UK business hours.

Desirable

• FMCG, food & beverage, or consumer goods experience.
• AU/UK or other cross-border finance experience.
• Experience with lean and larger organisations.
• Experience managing outsourced/offshore accountants.
• Strong practical experience using AI in finance.

Success Measures

• Timely month-end close and accurate management reporting.
• Weekly cash forecast maintained within ±10% accuracy.
• Three-way model operational and used for Board/funding decisions.
• SKU-level margin visibility established within 90 days.
• Costs controlled within budget and variances addressed promptly.
• Finance processes documented and manual reporting reduced.
• All compliance obligations completed accurately and on time.

First 90 Days

30 Days: Take ownership of cash, payments, partner statements, and assess current finance processes.

60 Days: Implement the close calendar, reporting format, and priority process improvements.

90 Days: Deliver an on-time month-end pack and launch the first version of the three-way financial model.
