Sales Development & Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated, full-time Sales Development & Marketing Coordinator whose entire focus is filling and maintaining the new-business pipeline. This is not a shared or part-time function. The person in this seat spends their day identifying new prospects, getting qualified meetings on the calendar for the sales team, keeping prospect records clean and current, and supporting sales with the marketing materials and social presence that make outreach land.

The right candidate is comfortable with high-volume outbound activity, organized enough to run a prospect list without being reminded, and detail-oriented enough to sit in a sales meeting, capture what was said, and turn it into follow-up actions that actually get done.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting and Lead Generation

  • Research and build targeted prospect lists using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry databases, association directories, job boards, and other sources
  • Identify decision-makers and verify contact information for accuracy
  • Execute daily outbound activity across phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate interest
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads against agreed criteria before passing them to the sales team
  • Maintain a consistent daily and weekly volume of new prospect touches

Meeting Setting

  • Schedule discovery calls and introductory meetings for the sales team
  • Manage calendar coordination, confirmations, reschedules, and reminders
  • Prepare a short pre-meeting brief for each scheduled appointment covering company background, contact role, and reason for interest
  • Track show rates and follow up on no-shows

Prospect and Pipeline Management

  • Own the accuracy and completeness of prospect records in the CRM
  • Log every call, email, meeting, and outcome so pipeline reporting is reliable
  • Maintain follow-up cadences so no prospect goes dormant without a decision
  • Flag stalled or at-risk opportunities to the sales team
  • Produce weekly activity and pipeline reporting

Sales Meeting Support

  • Attend recurring sales meetings as a full participant
  • Take structured notes capturing commitments, next steps, owners, and due dates
  • Distribute recaps after each meeting and track open follow-up items to closure
  • Update prospect records to reflect what was discussed

Marketing and Content Support

  • Organize, version-control, and maintain the library of sales and marketing collateral including one-pagers, capability statements, case studies, proposal templates, and presentation decks
  • Keep materials current, accurate, and on-brand
  • Draft, schedule, and post content across company social channels, primarily LinkedIn
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and route real inquiries to the sales team
  • Assist with email campaigns, list segmentation, and basic performance tracking

Required Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in sales development, inside sales, business development, marketing coordination, or a comparable role
  • Demonstrated experience with outbound prospecting and appointment setting
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and disciplined data-entry habits
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone presence
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and general research tools
  • Excellent organization and follow-through with the ability to manage many active prospects at once
  • Able to work independently during standard business hours with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in staffing, recruiting, employer of record, professional services, or B2B services sales
  • Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Apollo, or similar prospecting platforms
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling and marketing automation tools
  • Basic graphic or content design ability (Canva or equivalent)
