Community & Operations Assistant

Overview

Our client is looking for a highly organized and proactive Community & Operations Assistant to join their fast-growing global personal and professional development company. In this role, you will help support a thriving online learning community and drive internal operations within a fast-paced education environment. You will be responsible for overseeing daily community operations, coordinating events, maintaining learning resources, and assisting the Programme Team with key administrative and customer support tasks.

Schedule:

  • Full-Time (38 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Flexible Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)

Responsibilities

Community Management

  • Manage day-to-day operations across the online community platform.
  • Create and schedule community events.
  • Set up Zoom meetings and event links.
  • Upload, organize, and maintain learning resources.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain required resources.
  • Assist members with navigating the community and accessing materials.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance the overall student experience.

Student Support

  • Respond to student questions professionally and promptly.
  • Review student submissions such as marketing materials and provide constructive design feedback.
  • Support students with visual content, online tools, and business systems.
  • Assist students setting up community platforms and business systems.

Customer Service & Administration

  • Manage customer inquiries through customer support platforms.
  • Provide virtual administrative support to the Programme Team.
  • Maintain clear communication across internal systems and teams.
  • Ensure operational tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Content & Copywriting (Bonus)

Draft short-form communications including:

  • Email responses
  • Community announcements
  • Social posts
  • Student updates

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience managing online communities (not limited to moderation).
  • Experience organizing community events and maintaining member spaces.
  • Strong eye for design with the ability to provide constructive visual feedback.
  • Proficiency with Canva or similar design tools.
  • Experience supporting coaching, education, or personal development businesses.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Comfortable working full-time during Australian business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GoHighLevel (GHL).
  • Experience using Intercom or similar customer support platforms.
  • Copywriting experience.
  • Experience working with online courses or membership-based businesses.
  • Business operations experience.
