Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager who has a strong background in YouTube and LinkedIn content management. This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of the entire content workflow—from planning and editing to publishing and performance tracking.
While experience with Instagram is required, it will play a supporting role. Facebook expertise is not required, as it is not a focus for the business.
The ideal candidate is creative, strategic, highly organized, and comfortable working independently. They should be confident using AI tools to improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality content.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Planning
- Collaborate with the founder to develop a content strategy for LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram.
- Build and maintain a 90-day content calendar.
- Establish content pillars and posting cadence within the first 30 days.
- Recommend new content ideas based on analytics and industry trends.
- Participate in weekly planning meetings and monthly strategy reviews.
LinkedIn Management (Primary Focus)
- Manage the client's LinkedIn Company Page.
- Manage the founder's LinkedIn profile.
- Create engaging thought leadership content.
- Write compelling hooks and captions using AI tools.
- Schedule and publish posts consistently.
- Monitor engagement and optimize content performance.
- Increase audience engagement and follower growth.
YouTube Management (Primary Focus)
- Launch and manage the company's YouTube channel.
- Develop a YouTube publishing strategy.
- Edit podcast interviews and founder recordings into engaging videos.
- Create YouTube Shorts from long-form content.
- Design compelling thumbnails.
- Optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, and metadata.
- Maintain consistent branding across the channel.
- Track channel analytics and recommend improvements.
Instagram Management (Secondary Focus)
- Repurpose LinkedIn and YouTube content into Instagram-friendly formats.
- Create simple but engaging Instagram posts and reels.
- Maintain a professional presence for the founder.
- Schedule content consistently.
Please note: Instagram knowledge is important, but this role is not focused on becoming an Instagram specialist. Facebook management is not required.
Video Editing & Creative Production
- Edit podcast recordings and talking-head videos.
- Improve pacing, captions, framing, transitions, and audio quality.
- Create engaging short-form videos.
- Produce high-quality visuals suitable for professional audiences.
- Design graphics using Canva or similar tools.
- Use AI tools for captions, graphics, and editing enhancements.
Analytics & Performance
- Track platform performance and engagement.
- Monitor YouTube growth and LinkedIn analytics.
- Measure campaign effectiveness.
- Provide recommendations based on data.
- Present monthly performance reports with actionable insights.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional Social Media Management experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing LinkedIn content for a company or executive.
- Demonstrated experience managing or growing a YouTube channel.
- Strong video editing experience.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience writing engaging social media copy.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable working remotely.

- AI-assisted content creation
Portfolio Requirements
Applicants must submit a portfolio that includes:
- At least one YouTube video they edited.
- Two to three LinkedIn posts they created or managed.
- An example of a content strategy or content calendar they developed.
