Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Marketing Proofreader to review and edit various client marketing materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand standards. In this role, your keen eye for detail will play a crucial part in helping maintain the company's reputation for excellence across all promotional and creative collateral.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, with a 1-hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Review creatives for new and reactivated clients, as well as brand new designs for existing clients, ensuring all tracking numbers connect to the corresponding destination.
• Verify addresses, cities, states, and zip codes for all locations listed on marketing materials.
• Thoroughly review all copy for spelling and grammar issues.
• Review expiration dates (when applicable) to ensure in-home timing leaves adequate time to garner a response.
• Test URLs and QR codes to ensure links are live and fully functioning.
• Inspect imagery to ensure high picture quality without blurriness and verify that visuals align with current seasonality.
• Review printer proofs as the final line of defense before materials go into full production, ensuring production files, colors, and form codes match expectations.
• Develop monthly reports covering key errors from the previous month and present them to the Creative Manager for team review.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a proofreader, preferably within marketing or advertising.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong command of the English language.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent related experience.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
