IT Support and Systems Operations Manager

Overview

Our client is looking for an IT Support and Systems Operations Manager to own the technical operations for their growing international trading platform. The client is a globally operating forex trading platform company with team members across Europe, Latin America, and Asia who work with niche, custom software systems and are currently expanding their operations and technology infrastructure. In this flexible, remote role, you will serve as the go-to expert for custom software implementations, working independently to learn new systems, troubleshoot issues, and train team members. You will enjoy the autonomy to manage your own schedule while ensuring urgent technical issues are resolved immediately, no matter the time zone.

Schedule:

  • Flexible hours with on-call availability for urgent issues (Supporting multiple time zones: Europe, Latin America, Asia operations)

Responsibilities

  • Learn and master new software systems independently, then implement them for team use across custom CRM and trading platforms
  • Serve as first-line technical support for 4-5 critical software systems that power daily operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve urgent technical issues immediately when systems go down, including off-hours support for international teams
  • Conduct training sessions with team members to explain how new software systems work and how to use them effectively
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members across different regions and time zones
  • Research and evaluate new software tools and features that could improve operational efficiency
  • Manage updates and ensure all software systems are current and utilizing available features
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance as the company expands and adopts new systems

Requirements

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Strong technical education and foundation in IT systems and software
  • Proven ability to learn new, unfamiliar software programs quickly and independently
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in real-time
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Comfortable working with custom, niche software rather than mainstream platforms
  • Ability to respond to urgent technical issues outside standard business hours when needed
  • Self-directed work style with strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing multiple software systems simultaneously

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

  • Bonus if you have experience with VPS (Virtual Private Server) services
  • It helps if you've worked in a forex, trading, or financial technology environment
  • Bonus if you have experience conducting remote training sessions
  • It helps if you've worked with international teams across multiple time zones
