Position Summary
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, recording business expenses, generating owner income statements, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and organizing receipts. This role requires someone who is highly organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple financial tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Management
- Record and categorize business expenses accurately.
- Generate owner income statements.
- Perform account reconciliations and balance financial records.
- Process and pay vendor invoices on time.
- Log and organize receipts and supporting financial documents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records.
- Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end bookkeeping activities.
- Maintain organized digital financial files.
- Ensure all financial records are complete and compliant with company procedures.
Administrative Support
- Coordinate with vendors regarding invoice payments and account inquiries.
- Assist with preparing financial reports as required.
- Support the management team with bookkeeping-related administrative tasks.
- Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
- Perform other bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Experience using GuestyPay, Clearing, or other short-term rental accounting software.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reconciliation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the hospitality or short-term rental industry.
- Experience preparing owner income statements.
- Experience managing multiple properties or business entities.
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software and financial management systems.
- Experience supporting small to medium-sized businesses.
