Finance Admin Assistant (QuickBooks)

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Admin Assistant to join their team full-time. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, excellent English communication abilities, and a solid background in finance. The Finance Assistant will support the finance team by handling administrative and financial tasks while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in day-to-day operations.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, Vancouver, BC (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM without a break or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with a 1-hour break; 8 hours of work per day)

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records
  • Prepare and update financial reports and spreadsheets
  • Follow up on outstanding items, payments, and financial documentation
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable administrative tasks
  • Organize and maintain finance-related files and records
  • Support the finance team with general administrative duties
  • Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality at all times
  • Assist with other finance-related projects and tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of finance, accounting, or bookkeeping experience
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude. 

Preferred

  • Experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Previous experience supporting a finance or accounting team in a remote environment
