Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Video Editor to take ownership of the entire content pipeline for a luxury wedding brand. In this role, you will transform raw footage into scroll-stopping social media content that captures emotion and drives bookings. The owner will film the content and bring the personality, while you handle everything else: editing videos and photos, building content calendars, scheduling posts, and ensuring a consistent brand presence across platforms. This is a high-impact role where your editing skills directly influence how clients discover and connect with the business.

Client Overview

Our client is a luxury wedding coordinator based in Brisbane, Australia, specializing in creating highly personalized, emotionally-driven wedding experiences. They pride themselves on their cinematic, film-quality approach and strong personal connection with clients. The business is growing and needs dedicated support to maintain a consistent online presence while the owner focuses on client relationships and content creation.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, hours to be determined (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Edit video content for Instagram Reels, Facebook, and other social media platforms with a cinematic, film-quality aesthetic
  • Edit photos to maintain the luxury, emotionally-driven brand style
  • Create and manage a content calendar to ensure consistent posting schedule
  • Schedule and post content across social media platforms on behalf of the owner
  • Organize and manage content files and assets efficiently
  • Maintain brand voice and visual consistency across all content
  • Adapt quickly to the personal, emotion-based approach that defines the brand
  • Collaborate with the owner to align content strategy with business goals

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in social media management and content editing
  • Strong video editing skills with ability to create cinematic, film-quality content
  • Proficiency in photo editing software and techniques
  • Experience creating and managing content calendars
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule and post content across social media platforms
  • Portfolio showcasing previous social media content work, particularly video editing

Nice to have:

  • Bonus if you have experience in the wedding or luxury events industry
  • It helps if you understand emotion-based marketing and storytelling
  • Bonus if you have experience with Instagram Reels and short-form video content
  • It helps if you can work efficiently during Brisbane business hours for real-time collaboration
