A well-established commercial and residential construction company is growing its building materials division — a specialist arm that imports quality materials directly into Australia. Our client is looking for a Senior Telemarketer to engage prospective clients and convert them into long-term customers.

You'll be speaking with builders and developers who have been identified as strong fits for the product — your job is to build rapport, handle objections confidently, and close. You'll be representing a genuine value proposition and need to communicate it with credibility and professionalism.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM AEST, with 1 hour unpaid/paid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Reach out to and follow up with builders and developers who have been identified as prospective clients for the company's imported building materials
• Conduct professional, consultative sales conversations to understand client needs and position the right materials accordingly
• Clearly articulate the cost-saving value proposition (15-20% savings vs. local supply)
• Move prospects through the pipeline from initial contact to confirmed order
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and pipeline activity in the CRM
• Meet and exceed agreed conversion targets and call volume KPIs

Requirements

• 5+ years of outbound or telesales experience, ideally in construction, building materials, or a trade-related industry
• Professional spoken English communication skills - with regular client-facing interaction with Australian builders and developers
• Confident, professional phone manner with strong active listening skills
• Proven track record of converting prospects into sales
• Residential construction knowledge is highly regarded; commercial construction exposure is a bonus
• Comfortable discussing product specifications and pricing at a commercial level
• Self-motivated and target-driven with strong CRM discipline
• Experience selling imported or wholesale products is a strong advantage
