Job Overview

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Web Developer (UX/UI)  who combines expert-level web development skills with a strong eye for UI/UX design. This is a senior role suited for someone who can confidently manage projects from concept to deployment while communicating directly with clients to understand business needs and recommend technical solutions. Our client is looking for an expert—not a mid-level developer. The successful applicant must have a portfolio that clearly demonstrates exceptional work across website design, front-end development, back-end development, and UI/UX. The ideal candidate embraces modern AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code, to improve development speed, code quality, debugging, and overall productivity.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible hours (8 hours per day/40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern, responsive, and high-performing websites.
• Build end-to-end web solutions across both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Create intuitive user experiences and visually engaging interfaces aligned with business objectives.
• Participate in client meetings to gather requirements, present technical recommendations, and provide project updates.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, user-friendly technical solutions.
• Optimize website performance, security, accessibility, and SEO.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to improve coding efficiency, troubleshooting, documentation, and code quality while maintaining engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Website Designer/Developer or Senior Full Stack Developer.
• Expert knowledge of modern front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue, or similar).
• Strong back-end development experience (Node.js, PHP/Laravel, .NET, Python, or similar).
• Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or custom-built websites.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, UI/UX principles, website optimization, and technical SEO.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools, particularly Claude Code, to accelerate development, troubleshoot issues, generate code, and improve engineering workflows.

Portfolio Requirements

Applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing:

• Modern, professionally designed websites.
• Projects demonstrating both front-end and back-end expertise.
• Strong UI/UX capability and user-centered design.
• Live websites or case studies demonstrating measurable business impact.
• Clear explanation of their individual contributions to each project.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with Australian or international clients.
• Knowledge of website performance optimization and technical SEO.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and business systems.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, cloud hosting, Docker, and modern deployment workflows.
