Job Description:
We are looking for a warm, personable Sales & Lead Qualification Specialist to serve as the voice of our immersive theatre program. You will be responsible for conducting follow-up calls to schools after direct-mail campaigns to confirm receipt, verify key decision-makers, and spark genuine interest in our productions. This is a role for a conversationalist who can move beyond robotic scripts to build real rapport with principals and school staff.
 
Schedule:
Part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM Eastern Time
 
Client Timezone: Eastern Time
 
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct warm follow-up calls to schools following direct-mail postcard campaigns to engage decision-makers.
  • Identify and verify the correct point of contact at each school, including principals and staff members.
  • Update lead lists with accurate names, titles, and direct email addresses gathered during calls.
  • Communicate the unique value of immersive theatre programs in a genuine, relationship-driven manner.
  • Guide qualified leads toward completing the booking inquiry form on the company website.
  • Assess lead quality and flag schools that are not a fit or should be blacklisted for safety reasons.
  • Maintain detailed call notes and status updates to keep leadership informed of outreach progress.
 
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a client-facing or outbound calling role with a focus on relationship building.
  • Warm, personable phone demeanor with the ability to adapt tone and messaging naturally.
  • Strong active listening skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment during live conversations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High level of attention to detail when updating lead records and documenting outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a call list with minimal supervision.
  • Bonus if you have a background in performing arts or education-based sales.
  • It helps if you have experience navigating school office environments or speaking with principals.
